At present, we are living in an age of science and technology. Bangladesh wishes to utilize the resources of our time and build on the works of Digital Bangladesh to bring great changes in the future. This new ambitious initiative, 'Smart Bangladesh,' was announced on December 12, 2022 and is expected to come true within 2041. It will offer a life where we will be able to use technology as per our convenience and lead a more sustainable life. The four pillars of Smart Bangladesh are- Smart Citizen, Smart Government, Smart Society and Smart Economy. Smart Bangladesh wishes to empower its citizens with proper technological knowledge to help them become self-dependent. Similarly, Smart Government will build a more efficient work field with the help of technology, taking a personalized approach to tar target issues with the help of fast and secure technologies. In Smart Bangladesh, a Smart Society will be such a society where social equity will be ensured leaving no individuals behind. Education, environment, healthcare, social prosperity and others will benefit from advanced technologies uniting people from all walks of life, promoting stronger social bond. Lastly, Smart Economy will endorse a knowledge driven system where technology will overtake various sectors ensuring economical growth. Day by day, we are resolutely heading towards the goal of empowerment. 2041 will arrive in the blink of an eye, and then we will be living in a Smart Bangladesh
