Junk Food and Healthy Food
Food is a basic necessity of life and there are many different kinds of them. They vary in ingredients, taste, nutritional values and so on. Junk food and healthy food are two different categories of food that we can consume but differ in how they will impact our body. In general, junk food is prepared from ingredients containing a large amount of unhealthy fats, sodium and sugar. While these ingredients make the food taste fairly appetizing, they fail to provide the necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Moreover, junk food is most of the times affordable, easily accessible, and even easy to prepare at home. So, it is very convenient to settle on junk food any time of the day. Unfortunately, due to its harmful ingredients and the lack of essential nutrients, junk food may lead to serious health issues like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, digestive disorder, etc. On the contrary, healthy food offers a lot of health benefits. They are prepared from unprocessed and fresh ingredients with necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Eating healthy food improves our overall health by lowering the risks of heart diseases, boosting our immunity, and many other health benefits for healthy growth. But healthy food in comparison to junk food requires more preparation time. Additionally, fresh ingredients need to be collected regularly and stored carefully to preserve its nutritional values. Despite the hassle, healthy food is a preferred option over junk food for many for its healthy benefits. At the end of the day, a healthy life is all about balance.
