 (a) Tereshkova was born in a village in Central Russia on 6 March 1937. Her father was a tractor driver and her mother did a job in a textile plant. She began schooling at the age of eight but didn't enjoy it, eventually leaving and completing her education through distance learning.

(b) Tereshkova became interested in parachuting from a young age and trained in skydiving at the local Aeroclub. Tereshkova's expertise in skydiving led to her selection as a cosmonaut after the Soviet Union decided to send a woman to space following Yuri Gagarin's flight in 1961. 

(c) Tereshkova underwent various training including weightless flights, isolation tests, centrifuge tests, rocket theory, spacecraft engineering, 120-parachute jumps, and pilot training in MiG-15UTI jet fighters. She had to undergo a series of training after joining the flight project in 1962. 

(d) Tereshkova received education through distance learning because she didn't enjoy traditional schooling. Though she could have received education in school, she left school at a young age and then continued her education,

(e) In Vostok-6, Tereshkova was sealed inside after completing communication and life support checks. After finishing a two-hour countdown, the launch went flawlessly, marking her historic journey as the first woman in spacE-
