 (a) Sheikh Kamal's education life involved attending Dhaka's BAF Shaheen College for secondary education and later Dhaka College for higher secondary education. After passing his, HSC examination, he became a student at the Department of sociology of Dhaka University.
(b) Sheikh Kamal was involved in various cultural activities, including being a student of Chhayanaut to learn Sitar under the tutelage of Ustad Ful Mohammad. He also took part in stage performances of plays, such as "Kabar" written by playwright Shaheed Munir Chowdhury. Additionally, he was one of the founders of Dhaka Theatre and Spondon Shilpi Gosthi, a cultural organization.
