c. Untreated liquid industrial waste, other toxic chemicals, and household wastes are being discharged into the river Buriganga indiscriminately. Thus, its water is polluted and a perpetual stench fills the air around it. It has almost become useless. That's why, it has been described as an example of a dying river.
